WHAT TO EXPECT

What should I wear?

Come as you are! No, really! You will see “all sorts and conditions” of people in all manner of dress in the pews of Holy Trinity. We are simply honored to welcome you into our beautiful church.

What’s the service like?

Our services follow the Book of Common Prayer, which means we follow the liturgy or set forms of service. Everything you need to follow along can be found in the service bulletin the usher hands you on your way in. Our Sunday services typically include the celebration of Holy Communion. Throughout the service, you will see people stand, kneel, cross themselves, etc., but we encourage you to participate in whatever way you feel comfortable. No one is grading you on your performance!

Where can I park?

If our parking lot fills up, ample free Sunday Parking is also available in the area around the church. For more information, please see our Parking page.

Is there anything for kids during the service?

Nursery care is available at all Sunday services for infants and toddlers up to three years old/or fully potty trained. During the school year, we have a Children’s Homily at the beginning of the 9 and 11am services, after which all elementary-aged children are invited to Children’s Chapel. Of course, children are also more than welcome to stay with their families in the church. The Children’s Nook is in the back of the church and has a child friendly activity table for parents and young children to enjoy during the service when needed. In addition, we now offer the church parlor with live stream service as a quiet location for parents to enjoy. Finally, during the school year, we have Youth Group for all middle- and high-school students after the 10am service (during which many of them serve in various worship ministries).

Please ask any of our ushers for directions or assistance!

 Can I receive Communion?

All Christians who have been baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are welcome to receive Communion in our church, regardless of age or denominational membership. We offer Communion in both bread and wine, as Jesus commanded. If you are not baptized, or do not wish to receive Communion for any reason, we still invite you to come to the altar rail for a blessing from a priest as a sign of our hospitality. If you have mobility issues, please let the ushers know, and a priest will be honored to bring Communion to you in your seat.
