PRAYER MINISTRIES
-
Members of The Order of the Daughters of the King are women who desire a closer walk with the Lord. We are Christian women, both lay and ordained, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our Christian journey – some have just begun, and some have been on this path for a long time. But no matter where we are on our journeys, our primary goal is the same – to know Jesus Christ and to make him known to others.
Daughters everywhere make the same promises upon their admission to The Order:
Obey the Rule of Prayer: Pray daily, especially for Holy Trinity, the clergy, and those on the prayer list
Obey the Rule of Service: Worship, study, and assist the clergy with the spiritual building-up of the parish
Faithfully wear the cross of the Order
Always offer loyal aid to our clergy and parish to work for Christ’s kingdom

The members of the Holy Trinity Intercessory Prayer group firmly believe in the reality of the presence of Christ’s healing love in our lives and God’s response to intercessions made on behalf of others in need. We trust in the statement of James 5, “Pray for one another that you may be healed.”
Each week, we meet for Morning Prayer and Healing services. Then, we offer prayer for those on our list. Each individual member is also asked to pray through the list daily, so that those needing prayer receive it many times each and every day. The names on our list come to us through church members, phone calls to the office, and people we meet in our daily lives.
As intercessors, we offer ourselves as channels of love and faith for the healing of mind, body, and soul for others, as well as for the general needs of our time and for the peace of the world. We also offer prayers of thanksgiving for blessings and healings received and for our Lord’s gift of his grace and presence in our lives.
The door is always open to church members who feel called to this special ministry as a “pray-er.”
